meet Dr. Jaclyn R. Duvall, M.D.
Dr. Jaclyn R. Duvall, M.D. is a board certified Neurologist and UCNS certified Headache Specialist based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She completed her headache fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and her medical school and residency at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She is one of Oklahoma’s only fellowship-trained headache specialists.
Dr. Duvall has provided neurologic care since 2013. She has a passion for the medical humanities and was one of four annual students to complete the Medical Humanities Program during her undergraduate training in 2008. Dr. Duvall’s passion for treating patients with headache and atypical facial pain disorders led her to leave clinical practice and complete headache subspecialty training - she has never looked back. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Headache Society, the International Headache Society, and the National Headache Foundation. Dr. Duvall has been involved in clinical research in headache, enjoys providing patient and provider education, and supporting migraine advocacy. Her interests include chronic migraine, post-traumatic headache and the doctor-patient relationship. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Duvall has published a book, “The Basics of Migraine,” and research in several prominent medical journals, including Headache, Neurology, and Cephalalgia. Dr. Duvall seeks to form partnerships with every patient to develop an individually customized treatment plan.
Welcome, Sarah Gilbert, APRN!
Sarah Gilbert APRN, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who specializes in headache medicine. She began her career in patient care in 2012 as a Registered Nurse at Hillcrest Medical Center, where she gained over five years of experience helping patients in emergency medicine. With a strong foundation in nursing and an unwavering commitment to patient well-being, she sought to increase her knowledge base by completing her Master of Science in Nursing degree at the University of South Alabama. She then went on to treat patients in primary care as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Tulsa community for more than five years.
Throughout her career, Sarah Gilbert has honed her expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of headache conditions, with particular focus on migraine. She approaches each case with meticulous attention to detail and a patient-centric ethos, ensuring that individuals receive tailored treatment plans aimed at improving their quality of life. Her ability to listen and empathize with her patients empowers individuals to reclaim their lives. Having lived with migraine with aura, she has a special connection to the migraine disease state and a deep commitment to helping people who suffer from migraine and headaches.
