At Headache Specialists of Oklahoma, we respect your time and we hope you will respect ours, too.

Dr. Duvall is Tulsa’s only fellowship-trained headache specialist. As such, she is working very hard to try to help as many people suffering from headaches as possible. We try to provide you with as much information as possible before your appointment - our intake paperwork is extremely important to make sure we are able to fully understand your headache history. We hope you will see this as an effort for us to try to minimize wait times for new patients and provide comprehensive treatment plans. There is a shortage of Neurologists in Tulsa, so sometimes patients will wait several months to be established. If you are flexible with your appointment date/time, often going on our ‘cancellation list’ can shorten your wait time markedly!

Furthermore, we run a tight schedule around here so you are not left waiting for hours to see our providers. Patients at our clinic understand that when you schedule your appointment (including procedures), you can expect to be seen at (or sometimes even before!) your scheduled appointment time. In order for this to happen, there are several ‘pre-appointment tasks’ that have to be completed, including paperwork (we ask that you take time to thoughtfully complete this paperwork so that we can provide you with the best care possible). This does mean showing up with paperwork complete at your arrival time (which is earlier than your scheduled appointment time).

Please note that if you show up later than your arrival time, you may be able to wait to be worked back into the schedule when Dr. Duvall has an opening or to reschedule if you prefer. At HSOO, we do not believe in allowing other patients to wait beyond their appointment time because of another patient’s tardiness - we hope you will understand this is to be respectful of everyone’s time!
